Deşi noul sezon din Premier League începe peste aproape două luni, a fost stabilit deja calendarul competiţiei, iar în prima etapă se va disputa un derby: Chelsea – Liverpool. Campionatul debutează pe 11 august, cu meciul campioanei, Manchester City, pe terenul nou-promovatei Burnley, un alt meci interesant fiind cel care va opune două dintre revelaţiile stagiunii precedente, Newcastle şi Aston Villa.
